Conclusion of JAP’s three-year curriculum
With the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), The Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and funding from the Sto-Foundation, new methods of sustainable development were researched, developed, and implemented as part of the three-year program "Subject-related partnerships with universities in developing countries". more about the project »
In December 2022, Daniel Hülseweg, substitute professor in the architecture course, project participants, and students from the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, came together with the project partners and participating students of Nelson Mandela Univerity and PE TVET College in Gqeberha, South Africa for a 5-day final conference of the JAP curriculum.
The conference included daily inputs by internal and external experts, site visits to the projects that have been developed together since 2016, and discussion panels aimed to critically evaluate the impact of the program and explore future collaborations.
As part of the conference program, the Kwazakhele Gap Tap Pilot » was inaugurated with the "Saltuba Cooperative“ members and all project partners.
