Two bronze nails were won by the students Julia Hafner, Isabelle Riedel, Celine van der Veen and Vivien Zeitel from the Communication Design and Media course at the Talent Award ceremony of the Art Directors Club Germany (ADC Talent Award for short) in Hamburg on Thursday, 15th June 2023, for their semester projects "Inju" and "Petchy". Both app developments were supervised as freelance projects by Prof. Björn Kernspeckt with the appointment area "Advertising - in particular methods and techniques of advertising". Congratulations to the four winners!

"Inju" is an app that helps women affected by domestic violence on several levels. In addition to the app, Isabelle Riedel and Celine van der Veen also developed matching advertising. More about the app at projects fg.hs-wismar.de/projekte » inju

The app "Pechy", designed by Julia Hafner and Vivien Zeitel, aims to bring people and shelter animals together in the long term. More about the app at projects fg.hs-wismar.de/projekte » petchy

"Great ideas and designs are always being created at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences. I am all the more pleased that the renowned jury of experts at the ADC Talent Award has now honoured two of the submitted works. This is great for the students and also underlines that the teaching in the Communication Design and Media degree programme has its finger on the pulse of the times," says Prof. Björn Kernspeckt, commenting on the success.

According to the organisers, this year's ADC Talent Award received the most submissions to date. 598 student entries were judged by different juries and the best were awarded. "The 450-member jury awarded two Grands Prix, 33 Gold Nails, 47 Silver Nails and 79 Bronze Nails. A total of 113 works were honoured and 159 nails were awarded. The thirty juries met in their six departments at Schuppen52 in Hamburg under the festival motto "Change the World with Creativity... or should we leave it to AI?", writes the organiser in its media information of 15th June 2023.
