Growing architectures to woodcut printing blocks, paintings and drawings
Creative works from three interdisciplinary elective modules and the Artistic Foundations from the Interior Architecture degree programme are on display in the show garden at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, on the island of Poel. Living, growing architectures were developed and built for their garden. Supervised by Prof. Ilka Raupach and in cooperation with the „SchaugartenRealLabor”, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Stollberg, Mechanical Engineering/Process and Environmental Engineering programme of the Faculty of Engineering at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, and workshop manager Tobias Gehrke.
In the gallery in the stairwell of the show garden, large-format woodcut printing blocks, paintings and drawings with self-carved charcoal represent a „piece of nature”, explored and observed in the show garden and at the mill pond in Wismar. Hand-carved poplar buds sprout in the greenhouse.
