Until 30th June 2016, Max Erlemann was head of the lighting laboratory in the master's program Architectural Lighting Design at the Faculty of Architecture and  Design at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences. Born in 1981 in Witten, he studied architecture in Siegen and Sydney as well as Architectural Lighting Design at Hochschule Wismar.

In 2013, together with three other graduates, he founded the lighting design office "jack be nimble", based in Berlin and Hamburg, which immediately the following year won 1st place out of three awarded in the category "Young Talent Award" of the German Light Award.

He participated at the end of 2014 in the exhibition "Untitled. Studio heads of the University of Wismar exhibit." and exhibited reduced, restrained luminaires.

We will miss Max Erlemann and cherish his memory.
Our deepest sympathy goes to his family.
