The goal of the project is the development and construction of a special pavilion by students of the Faculty of Architecture and Design under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Asko Fromm and Substitute Prof. Daniel Hülseweg. This pavilion will then go on a journey and act as a collection point for ideas. As the name of the project suggests, ideas are sought for the reconstruction of Ukrainian territories destroyed by the Russian war of aggression. Professor Dr.-Ing. Renée Tribble of TU Dortmund University is responsible for collecting and processing the data. Concrete project steps will be jointly determined in the coming winter semester.
At the beginning of May, the non-profit Sto Foundation offered a special budget of 100,000 euros for aid projects that would benefit Ukrainian society as a whole, but also subgroups - i.e. families, individuals, small children, schoolchildren, the elderly and the disabled. By the end of June, around 50 organizations had applied - mostly NGOs, community initiatives and universities. The jury deemed a total of three aid initiatives to be particularly worthy of support. Due to the large number and high quality of the projects submitted, the Sto Foundation also awarded four special prizes. Of the additional 55,000 euros provided, the Foundation awarded 25,000 to the consortium of our university and the TU Dortmund University.
Congratulations and good luck.
