On Friday, 2nd October 2026, the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, once again made a donation to the food bank in Wismar, in the district of North-West Mecklenburg. Professors Oliver Hantke, Dean, and Achim Hack, Vice-Dean, presented around 1,000 euros in the form of shopping vouchers to Karola Dräger and Norbert Hagedorn from the board of Wismarer Tafel e. V. to mark the opening of their new branch in the Friedenshof district. The Faculty had raised the funds at its internal Christmas market in 2025.
The Christmas market in the faculty building, House 7a, offered a varied programme: alongside homemade waffles, mulled wine, soup and sandwiches, student stalls, quiz games and a raffle helped to create a festive atmosphere. Students, staff and lecturers celebrated the festive season together whilst also raising funds for a good cause.
