The Wismarer Tafel e. V. is based at Holzdamm 4. On Monday, 25th March 2024, at lunchtime, three representatives of the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, presented a donation in the form of a bouquet of flowers with 44 shopping vouchers worth a total of 895 euros to Norbert Hagedorn and Klaus Honnacker, directors of Wismarer Tafel e.V.
Prof Oliver Hantke, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Designs, and Prof Andrea Wippermann, Head of the Design course, as well as student Jorge Schatz from the Communication Design and Media course presented the proceeds from the faculty's internal Christmas market to Wismarer Tafel e. V. as a donation. The money will be used primarily to buy needed food. Volunteers help to prepare and distribute food parcels for people in need from Wismar and the surrounding villages. On 7th February 2023, we also reported on a donation handover.
On Wednesday, 13th December 2023, the faculty's internal Christmas market took place on the Wismar university campus in front of and in House 7a. Students, staff and lecturers raised the money for the donation by selling homemade solyanka (soup), mulled wine, waffles and Christmas sausages, as well as at stands with student products, quizzes and a raffle.
