New Deanary of the Faculty of Architecture and Design

Since 1st September 2024, the deanary of the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, has consisted of a Dean, a Vice Dean for Internal Affairs, a Vice Dean for External Affairs and a Dean of Studies. In accordance with the newly created management structure, the management members were elected at the meeting of the Faculty Council on Wednesday, 3th June 2024.

  • Dean – Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Oliver Hantke was confirmed in his position as Dean. He teaches on the Interior Architecture degree programme.
  • Vice Dean for Internal Affairs – Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Achim Hack was re-elected to the faculty management. He teaches on the Interior Architecture degree programme.
  • Vice Dean for External Affairs – Prof. Dr phil. habil. Christine Linke is new in office and teaches on the Communication Design and Media degree programme.
  • Dean of Studies – Prof. Dipl.-Des. Stephan Schulz was also re-elected to his position as Dean of Studies. He teaches on the Design degree programme.

Prof. Dr Marcus Hackel and Prof. Matthias Ludwig have relinquished their positions as Vice Dean and Dean of Studies. Both will continue to teach on the Architecture degree programme.

With the constituent meeting of the newly elected Faculty Council yesterday, Tuesday 17th September 2024, the faculty management, the administration and the academic body will begin their joint work on the administration and development of the faculty for the next three years.
