At the start of the four-day Fish Film Festival in Rostock on Thursday, 24th April 2025, students Toni Menck, Jorge Schatz and Ronja Wagler as well as Prof. Dr. Maxi Berger accepted the award on behalf of the entire organization team.
The “Nachgehakt” category, endowed with 1,500 euros, was awarded by the jury to two projects that deal critically with media offerings. The prize money for the category was split so that 750 euros each went to the Landesjugendwerk AWO M-V e. V. in Rostock and the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences. Two prizes were awarded in each of the prize categories Leisure and Participation, School and Education, Childhood and Old Age and Follow-up. A total of 6,000 euros was awarded to eight projects in four categories.
The team of the 22nd Fish Festival, together with students Jeremy Köck and Melvin Hartwig from the same course, realized and implemented the film festival's advertising campaign in pixel art. The students were supervised by Prof. Dipl.-Des. Falk Schuster in the field of “Animation”.
