We wish to contrast the interesting connection between the protection of fire power vs. the ocean. The canon artifacts symbolize fire and energy, which is represented as warm colors. The sea is represented by cooler colors, which would symbolize water and calmness. In historic times of war, where canon fire entered the sea, it became a beautiful mix of fire dancing with water. It was a moment where chaos was met with the beauty of illumination.
Our event on July 6th will bring dance, illumination and art together. The Hansestadt Wismar, artists, DJs, Lighting Designers & local businesses will all come together for a Nachtmarkt event and we hope you can also join us. Showcasing local student artists and their work, the event is open to the whole city so bring your friends, love for art and most importantly the good weather.
In Kombination mit der Jahresausstellung DIA'18 wird am 6. Juli die Straße „Am Lohberg“ beleuchtet und ein Nachtmarkt eingerichtet. Studierende können mitwirken und ihre Werke aller Art verkaufen oder ausstellen (Kontakt über das Atelier 3.404, Architectural Lighting Design).
