Nathan Thompson, Design Director of Melbourne based lighting design company, The Flaming Beacon, will discuss the idea of brightness arrangement and illustrate this with examples from his office of many projects around the world. While Thomson's professional lighting design practice centres around architectural consulting, he continues to work also in areas of art and education. He has taught architecture and design students at universities in Australia, USA and Germany and was visiting professor UCLA Design | Media Arts in 2008 and 2009.
